Perhaps the biggest story out of Chinese nationals thus far is Cheng Fei's return to competition, after tearing her ACL:
It's obvious from this performance that she has a ways to go in terms of her conditioning and building up her stamina, but it's very exciting to see her back out on the floor. China could really use her back on the national squad, especially on vault which is easily their weakest piece.
In other nationals news thus far, Zhang Yelinzi and Wu Liufang both looked a bit rough on bars, and Yelinzi is using the same beam mount as almost all the other Chinese athletes, which I just don't get. It also looks like He Kexin might be diversifying into vaulting now, which isn't a bad move although I think she's a lovely floor worker as well.
